by Van Haaften Death, Obituary – On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the age of 90, Marjorie (Vos) Van Haaften died away at The Cottages in Pella. She called the town of Pella her home. She was the mother of Doug Van Haaften, who also passed away, and the widow of Marion D. Van Haaften, who also passed away. She is survived by her five children and the spouses of her children’s partners: Mary Lynne and Glen Beyer, Mark and Marjorie Van Haaften, Diana and Steve Van Donselaar, Kevin and Patty Van Haaften, all of Otley, Iowa; Scott and Lisa Van Haaften of Runnells, Iowa; and Scott and Lisa Van Haaften of Runnells, Iowa. The funeral services will be place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:30 pm at the Otley Church located in Otley, Iowa. The date and time of the services have not yet been determined. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the deceased’s body will be interred at Graceland Cemetery in Pella, Iowa. On Friday, the family will be present for visitors at the Otley Church from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, and the service will begin at 5:00 pm. It is possible to make memorial contributions to the Otley Church in the name of the departed person, with the instruction that the funds be designated for the Wesley Life Hospice or the Bound with Love initiatives.
