by Susan Schneider Death, Obituary – Susan R. Schneider, who resided in Newark, Delaware, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. She was 73 years old at the time of her passing. She was born on July 3, 1949 in Medford, Massachusetts, and her parents, Tom and Angie (Langone) Connolly, both passed away before her. She was their daughter. Susan was a woman who was noted for both her great faith in God and the humanitarian nature of her personality. She devoted a significant amount of her time and energy to serving the members of Holy Family R.C. Church, where she worked as the church secretary for a number of years.
Susan was a wonderful wife, friend, and volunteer in addition to being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her very favorite thing in the entire world was to have all of her loved ones gathered around her kitchen table, giggling and joking with one another while she watched them. Mary Connolly, Susan’s sister, passed away before her, following in the footsteps of both of Susan’s parents before to Susan’s own passing.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Schneider; her children Tommy and Kerry, both of Claymont, Delaware; her brother Tom Connolly and his wife Susan, of Salem, Massachusetts; her grandchildren Thomas and Joseph; and a great-grandchild named Brohdi Schneider. In addition, she leaves behind a great-grandchild named Brohdi Schneider.
At the Holy Family R.C. Church, which can be found at 15 Gender Road in Newark, Delaware, friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects on Friday, January 13, 2023, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. At 11:00 in the morning, there will be a Christian burial service held once the visitation has concluded. Following the funeral services, the interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware, which can be found at 6001 Kirkwood Highway.
