by Rene Paulo Death, Obituary – Irenio Pagarigan Paulo, also known as Rene Paulo, passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2023 at eleven o’clock at night in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was a renowned musician. At the time of his demise, he was surrounded by members of his family as well as friends from both of his parents’ sides of the family. He was a ripe old age of ninety-two years old at this point in time, having reached that point in time. Everyone who has ever had any kind of connection with Rene or who has ever witnessed one of his performances has emerged from those experiences with an enormous affinity for Rene.
This is true whether those interactions or performances took place in person or online. This category includes all of the individuals who have seen him perform in person. As a direct consequence of the dying of this extraordinarily accomplished man, whose demeanor was also known for being humorous and kind, both Al and I will experience a profound sense of loss as a direct result of this event. His demeanor was one that might be described as both affable and humorous. We will be thankful for the rest of our lives that Rene and his wonderful family made it possible for Al and I to meet at their famous nightclub known as “Opus One,” which was housed in the Ilikai Hotel 46 years ago;

He will live on in our hearts even after he has passed away because we will always remember him with such fondness that it will be impossible for us to forget him.
