by Peg Jones Death, Obituary – I’m sorry to inform everyone that our member Peg Jones passed away early this morning. I’m writing to let everyone know the sad news. I ask that you accept my condolences for your loss. There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that this will come as a shock. I humbly ask that you accept my condolences. When I started working at Bethlehem, Peg was one of the first people I had the chance to get to know, and she became one of my friends almost immediately after that.
After that, I had the chance to spend a lot of time with Peg’s family, and on the first day of my new job at the congregation, I got to talk to Peg’s mother. On the first day of my new job, a number of people, including her mother, came up to me and introduced themselves. Every time I interacted with her, I had a good time, and I knew I could count on her to always be completely honest about what she was thinking and how she was feeling.
I am grateful that I was able to spend this morning praying along with her and her family, despite the fact that getting used to the idea that I won’t be able to talk to you over the phone as frequently will be very difficult for me to adjust to in the coming days and weeks. This photograph was taken as part of our Beautiful Bethlehem Photo Project, which was something that we were actively working on up until the time that the pandemic began. This project was something that we were actively working on right up until the time that the pandemic began.
We do not yet know when the memorial services will take place; however, once the particulars have been worked out, I will jot down some additional thoughts that I have. Currently, we do not know when the memorial services will take place. We ask that you remember Peg’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss and mourning. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We are aware that you are going through a challenging time right now.
