Paul Twomey Obituary, Formerly Costcutter and Macehas died – Death

Paul Twomey Death, Obituary – Today marks the passing of Paul Twomey, who over his career had held positions at both Costcutter and Mace. Due to the unexpected and unexpectedly quick manner in which he passed away, we were left with a broken heart after hearing the news of his demise. Paul had been a longstanding supporter of the Club, and in 2015, he demonstrated his support for our Camán to Thurles event by giving commemorative t-shirts for the journey that we would wear along the way.

These t-shirts would be worn as we traveled from Camán to Thurles. On the day of the competition, he made the long journey to Semple Stadium in order to observe the girls’ performance there. This happened as a result of the thoughtfulness and generosity inherent in his heart. Paul’s presence was palpable throughout the entirety of the activities that were taking place in the club, and he was renowned for making comments such as “Here are the keys; take what you need; we will fix up next week.”

The following week did not occur, and despite our best efforts, we were unable to collect even a single penny’s worth of contributions from anyone. Despite our greatest efforts, the following week did not occur. Not only will people remember the assistance that Paul offered, but they will also remember his contagious smile, his amazing sense of humor, and his wit that was as sharp as a razor.

We have no doubt that a great number of people in Carrigtwohill, where he has maintained a large number of friendships, would think fondly of him in the future and that they will remember him. We also have no doubt that they will remember him. To his wife Tina, his children Kyle, Tristan, Nathan, and Rebecca, his mother Anna, his sister Noreen, and all of his other close relatives and friends, we want to express our most sincere sympathies on his passing.
