Mark Morley Obituary, Mark Morley has died – Death

Mark Morley Death, Obituary – Following Mark Morley’s unexpected passing on the Boluisce river on December 29, 2022, the members of the Galway Kayak Club would like to extend their deepest sympathies to his family and friends. We are saddened to hear of his passing. The death of Mark was the result of a sad accident. We are all unable to find any solace in the fact that one of kayaking’s most influential figures has passed away. Mark was a loving husband and father who doted on his wonderful family, which included his wife Kate and his daughters Roson and Allison.

Mark was a family man who was devoted to his family. He was a model of what it means to be a spouse, father, son, brother, friend, and colleague at work. He was an amazing example of all of these roles. Mark was a much-loved member of the Galway Kayak Club, and he missed just a small fraction of the club’s river and sea outings during his time as a member of the organization. “Each time he ran the Boluisce, in spite of the fact that it would eventually take his life, it also gave him a fresh lease on life” (Kate Morley).

On the sea, he was well-known for his tremendous passion, positive manner, and huge smile that stretched from ear to ear the entire time. Because he possessed all of these admirable characteristics, he will be fondly remembered. Mark made the most of each and every day; he never missed an opportunity to surf and he always managed to find time to do one more lap around Jury’s. Mark will be greatly missed, but he leaves behind a legacy that will go on in the shape of warm memories of times spent on the water. This legacy will live on for a long time.
