Kim Salvesen Obituary – Death, Windermere Owner Has Passed Away

Kim Salvesen Death, Obituary – We are writing to inform you of the demise of one of our own, and do so with the deepest condolences. The owner of Windermere, Kim Salvesen-Pauly, recently passed away after a valiant fight against cancer. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm for both life and real estate were on full display at all times, even when things were difficult. When Kim purchased the Windermere Glenn Taylor Real Estate company in Hood River, Oregon in 2007, she became the proud owner of her own Windermere franchise. Under the brand name Windermere Real Estate Columbia River Gorge, she subsequently opened offices in Stevenson, Bingen, The Dalles, Cascade Locks, White Salmon, and most recently, Goldendale, Washington.

These locations are all located in the Gorge. Kim was an astute businessperson and an encouraging role model for a great many people. She was actively engaged in the real estate sector, serving on the Lincoln County Board of REALTORS for over seven years, including a term as president in 2003. During this time, she held several leadership positions within the organization. During the same year, she was recognized as the REALTOR of the Year by the Oregon Association of REALTORS, where she also held the position of state director. She was given the same award by the Mid-Columbia Association of REALTORS in 2012, and she was given the award once more in 2022 for all of the positive contributions she has made to both the association and her community.

Kim will be terribly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to get to know her and meet her, and she will always be remembered for her indomitable spirit, optimism, hope, and thankfulness. All of these qualities will live on in indelible memory. On the 21st of January, a memorial service honoring Kim’s life will take place at the Skamania Lodge (Ballroom). Everyone is welcome to come and give this wonderful lady the proper farewell that she deserves.
