Ken Scheel Death, Obituary – This morning, we learned that Ken Scheel had passed away, and as we tell you about it now, our hearts are heavy with grief and the weight of a hefty obligation. Ken was a remarkable individual because of the compassion and kindness with which he always conducted himself, as well as his dedication to the Sarasota Outboard Club. Following in the footsteps of his father Eddie Scheel, who was the club’s founding father, Ken Scheel served as Commodore of the Sarasota Outboard Club in 1977 and again in 2018. In doing so, he followed in the tradition set by his father. Eddie Scheel was the founding member of the club that now bears his name in 1955.
Our hearts go out to the family on the passing of a loved one, and our condolences are with them during this difficult time. Over the years, Ken and I have had a number of wonderful chats, and I have always looked forward to continuing to have conversations of this caliber with him. He was a respected and honorable citizen of the community. We are aware that this information has come as quite a shock to the entire Sarasota Outboard Club family… we will all remember him with fondness and sincerely miss him in our hearts. Please remember this family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this trying time.
They could use your support more than ever. We assure you that a representative will get in touch with you as soon as possible with any new information that may become accessible.
