by Sgt John Santos Death, Obituary – John F. Santos, who was 25 years old at the time of his death, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston as a result of a Brain Aneurysm. He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on May 27th, 1997. After receiving his diploma from GNBVT in 2015, he joined the United States Air Force almost immediately afterward. In 2019, John served his country overseas in Qatar, which is where he earned the status of veteran. In front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, District of Columbia, in the year 2021, he was recently given the rank of Staff Sergeant.
His time spent in the military sparked a tremendous amount of enthusiasm in him, and he emerged from it with a strong network of comrades. At addition to that, John served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department for a period of five years. He was currently enrolled in the Massachusetts State Police Academy and expected to graduate in the year 2023. He found satisfaction in fishing, fishing rod in hand, and being everyone’s favorite fun uncle, Johnny. John was a devoted fiancé, son, brother, and soon-to-be father who was very loyal to his family.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Perreira, and stepfather, Richard Perreira; his father, Robert Santos, and stepmother, Stephanie Santos; his brother, Robert Santos III; his sisters, Heather Tavares and Natasha Pacheco, and their spouses; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Santos. John leaves behind the woman he loved most in the world, his fiancee Hannah Dupont, his newborn baby Hayden Santos, as well as their two pets, Teddy and Ellie. In lieu of sending flowers, the family of John has asked that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Veterans Transition House,

On Monday, January 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM, the Funeral Service for John will be conducted at the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, which is located at 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, Massachusetts 02745. All of your friends and family are welcome to attend. On Saturday, visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and on Sunday, visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Pine Grove Cemetery will play host to the burial, which will be accompanied by full military honors.
