by Jessen Hobson Obituary, Death – Today saw the sudden departure of Jessen Hobson, who was both a close friend and a fellow church member. The day before, I had just seen him at church, and he was grinning with an increased, but not exceptionally outstanding, vibrancy and brightness in his eyes. In addition to that, he was beaming a friendly smile at us. My wish to strike up a discussion with him was frustrated by the fact that he was, quite reasonably, surrounded by others who were ready to say hello to him. I wanted to talk to him, but I couldn’t. Since he helped me organize the choir for the Stake Conference that took place earlier this month, I am grateful to the Lord that I have recently been in regular touch with Jessen since he assisted me in doing so. This is why I am thankful. He shown an extremely high level of enthusiasm for the topic from the very beginning of the conversation.
We were able to acquire copies of the music very quickly because of his assistance, and it turned out to be one of the most magnificent and profoundly moving songs that the Stake choir has ever performed in my experience. Jessen was the kind of person who would always make the effort to spend time with you and listen to you talk about anything and everything that was on your mind. You could tell that he was the kind of person who actually cared about other people. He showed this concern in everything he did. In addition to this, the fact that all of his offspring have turned out to share the same quality as their father is pretty illuminating. I pray that God will continue to bless both of them, especially his devout and kind wife, Linda.
It is essential for Our Eternal Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to have Jessen in their lives. His love, faith, and spirit will continue to blossom on the other side of the veil, while many of us on this side will continue to be profoundly influenced by his presence for many years to come. This will remain the case even though he has passed away.
