Jamie and I used to have long conversations about the entertainment industry and various entertainers from the past 15 or more years. Every once in a while, he would e-mail me a clip of a band or a note asking “who’s coming?” Oh man, I’m going to be so sad to see this brother go. Relax, my friend, because we’re going to keep the party going over here. I am sorry that I was unable to contact each and every one of you personally to share with you the devastating news that our dear Jamie Adams, Vice President of Human Resources, passed away today from an unexpected illness. It has left me in a state of unfathomable shock and sadness.
Jamie started his employment in this company fifteen years ago as a warehouse worker. Jamie rose through the ranks to become the Vice President of Human Resources thanks to the dedication and support of his fellow players. As a treasured member of our professional community, he had a significant impact on the lives of thousands of Team Members. At this time, we ask that you respect the privacy of his family and keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this request. We will make sure to keep you updated on what their plans are for him. You are more than welcome to leave a note with Human Resources if you would like it to be delivered to Jamie’s family, and we will see to it that it is communicated to them in a timely manner.
I have no other choice than to assume that the majority of you have some wonderful and vivid recollections of Jamie – I will never forget the very first time that Jamie received me at our property located at 4455 Paradise Road. I felt the enchantment of his kindness and his enthusiasm for our home at that exact moment. He was an exceptionally one-of-a-kind and remarkable person who was deeply cherished and who would be sorely missed by many. In the following weeks, we will hold a memorial service to honour the life of Jamie Adams, who was a genuine rock and roller. More information will be provided in the coming days. It will be difficult to move forward without Jamie, but the culture of respect that we all share for one another and that Jamie was a driving force in developing will continue forth.
