by James Hickey Obituary, Death – Recently, my dearly beloved husband, Lieutenant Colonel James Hickey, passed away as the result of an illness that came on suddenly and unexpectedly. It’s possible that you already know about this development. You can probably tell that this is a challenging moment for both me and the daughters, and it is such a challenging topic to discuss on social media since it is so difficult to do. However, you can probably also understand that this is a challenging time for all of us. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has expressed their good wishes; but, given that it is physically impossible for me to respond to each of you in an individual capacity, I will instead express my gratitude in a public forum.
The funeral will take place at the Beechwood National Cemetery, which can be found in Ottawa at 280 Beechwood Avenue; the address of the cemetery is also Beechwood Avenue. The public viewing will start at eleven in the morning, and the funeral ceremony for military personnel will start at one thirty in the afternoon. Flowers are always appreciated and can be sent to the Beechwood Cemetery, but in addition to that, we have opened a savings account to pay for our daughters’ additional college costs.
