by Jack Lee Death, Obituary – It was with a heavy heart that we learned of the demise of former band member Jack Lee, Aghacashel, today, and our hearts are heavy because we were devastated to learn of his passing. During this difficult time, we want his family, friends, and loved ones to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Jack was one of the first persons to join our band, and he kept playing the bagpipes right up until the moment he passed away. In addition to this, he was a member of the very first band that was ever assembled and played in it. Several of us have beautiful memories of performing with Jack both domestically and internationally, as well as of riding on his bus to various band outings, and those are the experiences that are most memorable to us.
Those are also the ones that left the strongest impressions on our memories. In 2019, Jack was able to join us in commemorating the band’s 70th anniversary, an event that he particularly loved because it offered him the chance to reminisce with former members of the band. Everyone who was fortunate enough to have spent some time in his company will remember him with a warm and fuzzy feeling in their heart. During this trying time, we want the Lee family to know that they are in our thoughts and that we are extending our condolences to them. We are sorry for the loss of a loved one in your family. It is my sincere wish and prayer that Jack will soon be able to calm down and take some time for himself.
