by George Mitchell Obituary, Death – At the age of 96 and following a life spent farming, George Mitchell, who had retired from the profession, passed away quietly at the Grangepark Care Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Everyone who knew him as the spouse of Maggie, who also passed away, as well as a cherished stepfather and stepgrandfather, will mourn his departure with a great deal of sadness. On the day when George passed away, the seventeenth of January, at 11:30 in the morning, the Longside Parish Church will play host to a service of thanksgiving in honor of George’s life. The service will take place. Everyone who has a genuine interest in getting to know one another better is kindly invited to attend. Following that, there was a solemn ceremony for the funeral that was held in private. Flowers are not required, but if you would like to make a donation to the Grangepark Residents Fund in lieu of flowers, you can do so at the church entrance.
