Devin Caraccio Obituary, Ottumwa IA, Has Died – Death

Devin Caraccio Obituary, Death – At the Ottumwa Regional Health Center on Saturday, October 15, 2022, Devin Caraccio, age 27 and a resident of Ottumwa IA, was pronounced dead. Devin Caraccio, the son of Philip Pickering and Kimberly Sue Tu, was born on August 5, 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa. His parents are listed as being Kimberly Sue Tu and Philip Pickering. He went to high school in Des Moines and graduated from Valley. Following his graduation from high school, Devin continued his education at Indian Hills Community College and earned an associate’s degree in nursing.

After that, he received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Penn University, where he had previously studied. Devin continued his study by earning a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Graceland University. This culminated his academic pursuits at that institution. He wed Lexi Jo Ranes on December 20, 2020, and the couple now has two children: Luca, who is a son, and Gianni, who is also a son. Luca was the first kid to be born to this union.

In September of 2012, Devin enlisted in the Army of the United States of America. After completing his training as a Healthcare Specialist and a Combat Medic, he was promoted to the position of Commissioned Officer and Registered Nurse in 2019. As of this writing, Devin was still serving an active duty commitment with the Iowa Army National Guard. In 2016, Devin started her career as a charge nurse at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, first in the Intensive/Critical Care Unit and later in the Emergency Department.

The Ottumwa Regional Health Center’s Internal Medicine Hospitalist was his most recent position before retiring. The time spent at Ottumwa Regional Hospital by Devin and his family as well as his coworkers was very enjoyable to him. In February of 2022, Devin made her decision to become a Family Nurse Practitioner and took a position at the Chariton Valley Medical Center in Centerville. When he wasn’t working in Ottumwa, he was employed at that location. He was pleased with his accomplishments as Devin Caraccio, MSN, ARNP, and FNP-C.

Devin’s passions included long-range shooting, motorcycling, and vehicle and motorcycle racing. First and foremost, he treasured every time that he was able to spend with his family, particularly with his son Luca, and he was very thrilled to welcome his son Gianni into the world when he was born. Gianni; his mother, Kim (Huy) Tu of West Des Moines; his father, Philip (Carla) Pickering of Altoona; his in-laws, Rick Ranes and Stacie Slayton; his grandparents, Vickie Caraccio of Centerville, Deb Pickering of Runnells, Ngan Luo of West His grandfather, Frank Caraccio, was the first member of Devin’s family to pass away, followed by a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
