by Deidre Wilcox Death, Obituary – Active and former members of Souths Netball are being informed of the passing of club veteran and life member Deidre Wilcox on December 16, 2022. Wilcox was a member of the club since its inception. Wilcox has been a part of the club since when it first opened its doors. Wilcox has been a member of the club ever since it initially started accepting new members and guests. Deidre Wilcox has been a member of the club ever since it originally welcomed paying customers and became accessible to the general public.
She was encircled by members of her family while she was passing away, and they all lamented her passing together as a family unit after she had passed away. She passed away while they were in the same room with her before they were able to leave. The Souths Netball Club began accepting new members on the day it officially opened its doors, and Deidre was one of the first people to sign up to become a member. Not only did she take part in the sport of netball for the Souths Netball Club as a player, coach, and umpire for the team, but she also held multiple positions on the Souths Committee.
She was a member of the Souths Committee. Her resume includes a comprehensive list of all of these and additional responsibilities. In addition to the items that have been described up until this point, Deirdre was also a member of the Souths Committee. The contributions that women like Deidre made in the early years of the club’s existence, when the club was just getting started, were essential to the club’s evolution into the powerful and prosperous organization that it is today.
The Souths Netball Club would not be where it is at the moment if it were not for their contributions. We would like to express our sincerest sympathies to Deidre’s family and friends on the passing of a much-loved family member or friend who passed away lately.
