Deidre Michael Death, Obituary – We would like to offer our sincerest sympathies to the community of St. Mary’s DSG on the passing of Sister Deidre Michael, who had a long and fruitful life before her passing at the age of 93. Sister Deirdre Michael arrived to St. Mary’s Domestic Service Guild in 1961 after making her way there. In 1966, she was appointed to the position of principal of the school, and she served in that capacity until 1974. I pray that she will be lifted to glory and that her soul will find peace for all eternity. 1979 was the year that we took this photo as we were commemorating our company’s 100th year in existence.
1966 was the year that she first started working there, and she remained there until 1974. In all sincerity, it is my hope and prayer that her soul will be at peace for all of eternity and that her body will be raised to glory. I will continue to cling to these hopes and wishes until they come true. I ask God to bless her in a way that is beyond human comprehension. This picture was taken in 1979, the same year that our company celebrated its centennial anniversary of being in business. In the same year, we both became 100 years old and celebrated our milestone birthdays. She had a great deal of pleasure in her home and yard, particularly in the fact that she was able to cultivate fresh vegetables not only for her own family but also for the others who lived in the neighborhood.
This was especially important to her. Michael Gaydos, who was a loving father to his daughter Deidre but did not live to see the birth of his grandchild, passed suddenly before the baby was born.
