by David L. Vance Death, Obituary – At 6:32 o’clock in the evening on Monday, January 9, 2023, David L. Vance, who was 64 years old, passed away at the HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, Illinois. He called the town of Shelbyville in Illinois his home. In the future, there will be a memorial service held in David’s honor to celebrate and pay tribute to his life. Broadway, Shelbyville, Illinois 62565, or given in person at the Howe and Yockey Funeral Home. The arrangements are being handled by the Howe and Yockey Funeral Home at this time.
David was born on the 19th of February in Springfield, Illinois, which also happens to be his birthday. His parents are Donald L. Vance and Mildred J. (Simpson) Vance, and he is their son. After graduating from Palmyra High School with his diploma, he moved on to continue his education in St. Louis, Missouri, where he majored in electrical engineering. David served as the owner and operator of Vance Electric in Shelbyville up until the time that he retired from the business. As much as he enjoyed being outside and watching auto racing, one of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his grandchildren. The reception was held on July 26, 2014, and the bride’s name is Rebecca Jean “Becky.” The date of the wedding.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; his son, Derrick L. Vance of Shelbyville, Illinois; his daughters, Jessica Edwards of Mattoon, Illinois and Sarah Graf (Ronnie) of Shelbyville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Haylee Miller, Liam Leslie, Carson Leslie, Amelia Graf, Elaine Graf, and Solise Graf; and his uncles, Coy and Kenneth Vance. He was born in Shelbyville, Illinois, and passed away in Shelbyville, Illinois. The 15th of April, 2019 was the day he passed away.
