Bags was the name that we all referred to him by. A serene and moving finale, with his immediate family and extended family, often known as whanau, encircling him on all sides, with his best friend and life partner standing by his side. Someone worthy of admiration is a man who lived out his Christian faith in every aspect of his life and who continued to be a model of servant leadership right up until the very end of his life.

Tawa is going to be the location of the service. On the 17th, the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. local time. The family of Bruce has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the New Zealand Cricket Players Association. This organisation provides assistance and support to retired players who are now dealing with financial difficulties. The Cricketers’ Trust is in a position to be able to accept monetary support donations in the form of donations whenever it is required to do so.
