Bernarda Seljak Death, Obituary – Exeter, who had reached the age of 70 when he passed away, did so quietly at the Stratford General Hospital on the 30th of December, 2022. Over the course of more than 17 years, she was the devoted wife of Rafael Roderiguez – Navea, and prior to that, she was married to the late Miro Zgavc. A cherished mother to Deyan Zgavc and Meaghan, both of Whitby, as well as Alenka Watson and Ryan Blenkiron, both of whom also reside in Whitby.
Being Barrett, Anna, Chloe, and Laura’s Nana is an honor that I feel very fortunate to have. Stella Ventresca (Robert) and their children, Amanda and Erika, have a devoted and caring sister in Erika. Her mother Frances (Trcek) and father Josef Seljak both passed away prior to the birth of their daughter. Bernie was a proud member of the first group of 12 women to join the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), where she served as an accomplished senior Constable prior to her retirement. Bernie’s career with the OPP lasted until she reached the age of retirement.
Bernie was very interested in the youth community activities that were offered in the regions of Grand Bend, Huron County, and Lambton County. He was deeply dedicated to assisting children and teenagers in need. Her love for her family was strong, and she will be greatly missed by all of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
