Ariana Haftsavar Obituary, Death – Ariana Haftsavar, who was 16 years old, was one of two students from South County High School who were killed in a car accident that took place last night on Lee Chapel Road in Fairfax Station. The tragedy occurred in the middle of the night. Her father has informed me that she had a huge heart, that she was constantly concerned about the well-being of the younger children, and that she had dreams of becoming a lawyer. In addition to this, he mentioned that she was a singer and that she enjoyed playing lacrosse and soccer.
Ariana was reportedly on her way home after her SAT class last evening so that she may eat dinner with her family. This information was provided by Mr. Haftsavar. They observed that Ariana’s phone was at a stop on Lee Chapel Road when they checked the location sharing app that they had for their family. At that point, they became aware that there was a problem with something. Mr. Haftsavar claims that he hurried to the location, and when he got there, he noticed the collision that had occurred.
He has confided in me that their whole family is inconsolable and that Ariana was his entire world. He said that their entire family is inconsolable. My neighbors tell me that Lee Chapel Road has been plagued with a poor reputation for a considerable amount of time. It is extremely mountainous and winding all at the same time, and it has a great deal of blind spots to boot. There have been 125 accidents on public roadways during the course of the past six years, as indicated by the data that has been maintained by the DMV.
In the year 2015, a second young woman of the same age sadly lost her life in an accident that occurred on this very same stretch of road. Tonight on News4, we will explore the Haftsavar family’s request to the local authorities that the road be fixed, as well as how they would like people to remember Ariana and how they would like people to remember her.
