During the preceding ten years, he held the positions of hurling trainer and manager for our club on two separate occasions. During the same ten-year period, these two parts were played by different actors. During the period that he worked with us, he commuted between both of our locations on multiple occasions. Because of this, he was able to derive the greatest benefit possible from his trip.
The man from Touraneena was an exceptional sportsman and supporter, and he will be remembered in Roanmore folklore as an inspirational member of the team that won back-to-back senior county titles in 1989 and 1990.
